Walk through YOGA 170 with Ali — a video tour of our safety updates

Hi everyone,

We successfully held our first studio classes after being closed for 165 days and the feelings were ALL there. As our first “reopening” class got started last Thursday, I felt a mix of emotions — overwhelming happiness, contentment, and peace.

The familiar smells of the studio — lavender and lemon — welcomed us all back. The cross breeze from the canal was sweeping through the studio. Soft lights of the room glowed around us. And music filled the air. We were all distanced, safe, content and there was a feeling of community that we had all missed so much.

I felt myself wishing that I could capture that feeling so everyone in our community could SEE how it all works.

So I took a short video — I wanted to “walk” you through with me, almost as if I were giving you a tour for the first time. I thought it might be helpful to show you the updates we’ve made and how we are ready to provide a welcoming, safe and comfortable environment as you are ready to return.

Studio schedule
We are keeping to a light schedule for now, but we have a nice selection of classes available to you this week. I wanted to mention that we are very mindful of modifications in class to keep you comfortable as we all practice with masks — even for our Vinyasa and Candlelight Flow classes.

We are truly hoping to be accessible to you no matter how you’d like to take class with us. In-person, online or both. As many have said, “Yoga has been my sanity throughout all of this.” We feel honored to practice with you — in any way you choose.
