New Year’s Day Hatha Yoga and Sound Meditation
Join us in welcoming the New Year with movement and sound! This special event will include an all-levels yoga class and guided meditation/Yoga Nidra for setting New Year's intentions. Rest deeply to the sounds of singing bowls, chimes, and harmonium. Step into 2025 with clarity of body and mind!

New Year’s Eve Ball Class
End the year with an indulgent, relaxing self-massage class. This class will use small balls (provided by the studio) as a form of acupressure. The balls will be used head-to-toe to release tension and foster relaxation as you prepare for the new year.

Peace of Mind Pilates
Join us for a special Sunday morning Mat Pilates class paired with relaxing, calm vibes. Get a low-impact workout in with pilates and then stretch and relax to destress and rejuvenate. Leave with calmness and peace of mind!

Move for Marty! (Donation-Based Event to Benefit Wilmot Cancer Institute)
Please join us for a very special donation-based yoga event, in memory of Marty Lembo.
Marty’s wife, Cyndi Lembo, is part of the Yoga 170 community and in her own words…
”Marty Lembo was diagnosed with colon cancer in March 2016. His oncologist at Wilmot, Dr Richard Dunne, does extensive research on the effects of exercise on cancer patients. Dr Dunne encouraged Marty at every appointment to exercise even when he was feeling at his worst. It truly made a difference in his mental and physical well-being. It was during this time that I found my yoga community at Charisma in Fairport. When Charisma closed, I was fortunate to continue my journey with wonderful instructors and friends at Yoga 170. This class will benefit Wilmot Cancer Center and the outstanding medical teams who work tirelessly to find a cure. Due to the generosity of Yoga 170, all donations will go directly to Wilmot.”

Yoga for Healthy Aging Workshop
The book Yoga for Healthy Aging identifies Strength, Flexibility, Balance, and Agility as important physical components of healthy aging. This workshop will start with a brief presentation/discussion, include practice of Hatha yoga postures, and end with restorative yoga/breathwork. All ages are welcome to attend!
NOTE: This workshop is taught by an over 55 yoga instructor (Yoga 170’s Beth Cholette)
June 14th Theme: Strong & Flexible
This workshop will include dynamic movements to explore range of motion and longer pose holds to encourage both muscle and bone strength.

Spring Refresh Yoga + Wellness Class
Refresh and reset for spring! 🌸 Join us for a 45 min refreshing flow (perfect for all levels) that reflects the new energy of spring, clears the old energy of winter out, and resets your body, mind, and spirit. Mona Moon Naturals will be joining us to chat about body/mind wellness and everyone will leave with a complimentary essential oil roller of their choice!

Yoga + Sound Meditation for the New Year
Welcome the new year with yoga and the sound of Om! Join us for a special hatha yoga class followed by deep rest in savasana while bathing in the healing sounds of Om, the harmonium, singing bowls and chimes. Step into the new year with clarity of body and mind.

Good Energy Yoga + Chakra Balancing for the New Year
This 90 minute practice with a focus on the 7 Chakras (core energy centers) will help you cultivate health beyond the physical body and get deeper to the subtle layer of the “energy” body, increasing intuition and well being off the mat as well. Join us as we align ourselves on an energetic level for the new year. This class encourages prop use, and rest when needed, but will include movement.

Holiday Yin Yoga Class

Sound Bath Journeying

Halloween Flow in the Dark!
Practice your Yoga Flow in the Glow of Black Lights for HALLOWEEN!! Join instructor Linda Bayer-Lawrence in an all-levels vinyasa flow in the dark set to fun, Halloween-themed music! Bring a friend or come alone.
New to yoga and shy about it? No better time to start than in the dark! Wear something white or neon to maximize your glow under the black lights and feel free to dress up in costume!
* Please wear white or neon colors to add to the effect. Glow paint will be provided! Please arrive promptly at 7:45 to get yourself glow ready 😉

Autumn Yoga Walk
Join Yoga 170’s Julie Willmes for a guided outdoor yoga walk through Fairport Village! Cultivate awareness of our beautiful village as we enjoy a calming walk blended with yoga, meditation, and appreciation of autumn in Fairport!
We’ll meet outside Yoga 170’s studio (on the canal side) 15 mins before the walk begins. Please wear comfortable shoes — no yoga mat. needed. In case of bad weather, we’ll notify students at least 1 hour before the event if this event is cancelled. Hope to see you there!
