Summer is here and life is full of outdoor adventures, maybe some pool time, and hopefully a vacation or two! But somehow even in this season of relaxation, it can still feel a bit busy. So, don’t forget to take time for your own self care! We are here for you and for your practice (and pssst, the A/C feels wonderful on those hot days!)

We are beginning our Winter Solstice celebrations with candlelight yoga (and an abundance of cute twinkle ✨ lights) at the studio this week! We’re warm, cozy, and enjoying the ambiance of yoga together as we enter the official winter season. Plus, tonight’s Winter Solstice celebration included treats and tea for an extra coziness factor….
Important studio updates
As many of you are aware, NYS issued new requirements on COVID protocols for businesses, effective Monday, December 13.
After carefully reading over the policies, this is by no means an easy decision. I have never wanted to be in the position of excluding people for any reason who want to practice yoga. Nor have I ever wanted to be in the position where I am asking for our instructors to police policies set forth by the state. We have always been a community-oriented studio for all ages and my goal has always been to provide you with a space that is safe, welcoming, and supportive.
Basically, a place where I would take my own family (and actually do).
New class alerts!
Please join me in welcoming Christina (Aldridge) Till to the Yoga 170 instructor team! Christina is BACK to her Fairport teaching roots, and if you have taken her classes before, you know what a treat they are. We are thrilled she is now a part of the Yoga 170 family!
You can find Christina teaching Restful Candlelight Yoga on Sundays, 6:30-7:30pm (our newest class!). You can also find her for a refreshing Vinyasa Flow class on Mondays, 5:15-6:15pm (a new class time!). Sign up here.

I’m thrilled to let you know about a new Mind + Body workshop that we’ll be offering at Yoga 170, in partnership with Erica Reisinger, founder of Revive Your Tribe. Mark your calendars for this yoga + wellness event on Sunday, November 21 from 11:30am-1pm. Grab a friend or come solo!
Recognizing World Mental Health Day
Today is World Mental Health Day, and it’s a good reminder to pause and take notice of your own emotional well-being. Our doors are always open for you to take good care of yourself. Whether that means movement, slowing down, or stillness in our calm space, we are here to support you. 🌱
